Deployment/Change Management Consultant

We are rapidly expanding and seek up to 10 Deployment/Organizational Change Management (OCM) consultants to implement a large and complex information technology system for the State of California. The OCM consultant will facilitate department preparation and readiness for the implementation of a new statewide system and conduct organizational change readiness activities. The OCM consultant will also oversee the use of departmental readiness tools, monitor departmental readiness for project go-live, assist project staff and departments in readiness activities and cut-over tasks, and report on departmental readiness for cut-over/implementation. These activities may require short-term, in-state travel.

The project duration is approximately 15 months with an option to renew based on performance and the contract.

The OCM consultant’s responsibilities include:

  • Actively communicate with departments.
  • Assist departments with business process and procedure analysis and modification.
  • Assist departments with information technology assessment and modification recommendations.
  • Assist departments to determine staff security roles.
  • Assist departments with enrollments for system training.
  • Assist with departmental data collection and cleansing.
  • Monitoring progress of detailed cut-over activities, including verification of their converted data.
  • Provide post go-live departmental monitoring and support.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • At least one year experience on one project performing deployment and/or organizational change management activities in the implementation of an automated system within the last 10 years.
  • At least six months of functional, technical, or organizational change management experience working on a system deployment for a public sector (federal, state, or local) client with a one-time project cost of at least $10 million within the last 10 years.
  • The ability to work onsite in the Sacramento, California area.
  • The ability to travel within California for short-term trips.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Trained in the Prosci® ADKAR change management methodology.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer an excellent compensation package and a full range of fringe benefits, including:

  • Salary of $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Annual bonus based on performance.
